Apparently, filmmaker Ashok Pandit has jumped at the chance to make a film on Tarannum Khan, and has already prepared a short list of top actresses to portray her.
Among the actresses being considered for the role are Urmila Matondkar, Rani Mukerjee and Konkona Sen. "I think it is too early to comment, but if they approach me I will definitely think about it," Urmila said.
The film will be along the lines of Madhur Bhandarkar's Chandni Bar, and will be set in post-dance bar ban Mumbai. "Madhur will provide valuable inputs to the script and screenplay," said Pandit.
"The story is at a certain level inspired by the life and lifestyle of Tarannum. It has several twists and turns, entertainment, betrayal, love, sex, crime, politics and mystery. It's an interesting subject to work on," he added. The two-hour film will be shot in 45 days and is scheduled for release by the first week of November.
Apparently, Tarannum Khan always wanted to be an actress. She used to drop off her portfolio at top production houses.
